The Foodie Movement
Verity - Super
Many Xers and Millennials in the United States grew up in homes filled with processed foods, microwaveable dinners, and foods crammed with sugar. The Foodie movement is a reaction to that. As people grew up, they wanted to know where their food came from. This made them more interested in buying fresher, locally grown ingredients. They also wanted to know what their foods were made of. Nutrition labels often include chemical names that are unfamiliar to them. They push for more organic natural foods.
