Taj Mahal. Petra. Machu Picchu. These names are famous around the world as part of the seven modern Wonders of the World. But did you know there are many more lists? For example, a Swiss corporation called New7Wonders used online voting to create lists of Wonders of the World, Wonders of Nature, and Wonder Cities.

We can add to these kinds of lists the wonders located in individual countries. The Wonders of Canada include the Rocky Mountains and Niagara Falls. There is no shortage of wonderful places around the world, and it’s human nature to celebrate the beauty of this world.

    Ex: This corporation produces television and radio shows.

voting

  • Definition: (noun) a democratic system, where the majority chose the winner
    Ex: People are voting on whether this should be on the list.

  • Definition: (verb) to be happy and party to recognise a positive event
